Real insight into people's lives

This Ignite Me Workshop Theatre play - imaginatively directed and performed by the very people on whose experiences it was based - was both funny and sad. It gave a real insight into the lives of those in our communities with long term illness and disability and mental health needs, and the pushbacks they faced from the rest of us and those in authority.

The discussion afterwards between the performers and the audience on how things could be better and what we could do, gave cause for hope. I hope that this initiative will be repeated and that good will come of it.

What aspect of the show did you enjoy most and why?

Talking to all the performers in the discussion session and seeing how we could help to improve things.

Favourite moment?

The montage of episodes from their daily lives.
